President's Update

Watching God write a redemption story

Ed Morgan, President and CEO of The Bowery Mission, Mont Lawn Camp, and Mont Lawn City Camp at the Administrative Offices.

It’s always exciting to open a new book, anticipating the adventures that await. This is what it’s like each time a hungry and hurting person walks through our red doors. They begin on a journey filled with great promise.

Miracles begin to unfold as God’s love starts to speak to them through meals, shelter, recovery classes and career training.

Then the story gets really good as God uses those practical tools to do more transformative work. Men and women begin to think differently. Their character changes. They see their lives through an eternal perspective. A once-despairing soul is now filled with joy, dignity and new purpose!

It’s truly a miracle! Time and time again, guests share that the only thing that turned their lives around was allowing God to write the script.

As we prepare to celebrate Easter at The Bowery Mission, it’s a great time to remember the miracles God performs through your generosity.

Your Easter support will provide essential services like filling food and warm shelter. But it will also remind hurting people that God isn’t done working in their lives.

May the hope of Easter be with you and your family during this joyful season,

Ed Morgan, President of The Bowery Mission
