The Bowery Mission’s Crisis Intervention Program serves members of the homeless community who, for a variety of reasons, are unable to enter our residential programs.
We provide referrals to mental health treatment, detox, food stamps, housing, and medical care. Last year, we made 276 crisis intervention referrals.
We also assist clients with access to identifying documents and other benefits and provide them with in-depth counseling if needed. Through the Crisis Intervention Program, we are able to offer compassion and practical help to those in need.
