Host a Food or Clothing Drive
This year, our donors and volunteers helped The Bowery Mission provide more than 369,200 meals, 30,500 bags of groceries, and 53,200 articles of clothing to men, women and children in desperate need of help. We rely on donated food and clothing to meet these important needs.
We gratefully accept food donations 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Dry and canned goods are best, but we are usually able to accept even prepared foods, as long as it is fresh with the packaging intact.
Our clothing room provides for the needs of approximately 180 resident students as well as many homeless and destitute people in our area. When people come in for our shower programs we offer them a clean change of clothing. Most needed are: Jeans, sweaters, underwear, shoes, warm coats and business attire for those reentering the workforce.
