Medical Clinic
The Bowery Mission Medical Clinic utilizes a variety of medical and social work professionals. Every Wednesday night, the doctors and other volunteers at the clinic see a variety of needs, from diabetes and hypertension to dermatologic conditions and asthma. The goal is to provide the highest quality of care in a barrier-free setting to those who often have no other way to access medical care. In recent years, an optometry clinic has been added once a month.
The Medical Clinic is always seeking doctors, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, optometrists and social workers to serve the homeless and uninsured patients on Wednesday evenings at the Bowery Mission.
