The Bowery Mission Young Philanthropists is a group of influential people who want to get more involved with the life-transforming work of The Bowery Mission. The group has exciting ideas for future events and service projects. Each gathering will be a terrific opportunity to get together, network and have fun with other rising leaders in the city. Each gathering will benefit the men and women of The Bowery Mission.

Gawker Media Rooftop, NYC
On Thursday, September 17th about 150 young professionals attended The Young Philanthropists Rooftop Party. The guests braved the chill air on the expansive Gawker Media Rooftop. Live music was provided by the LES Hotclub and more than $3,000 was raised for the programs of The Bowery Mission.

On Tuesday, April 7th about 50 young professionals attending The Young Philanthropists Wine Tasting Party. Over $1,100 was raised for the programs of The Bowery Mission, and the guests enjoyed spectacular views of Madison Square Park and sampled spring wines generously donated by our wine sponsors.

Thanksgiving Party & Goods Drive

Lotus Salon, 34 North Moore Street, Tribeca
Each Thanksgiving The Bowery Mission serves about 2,500 people a warm meal, and each person leaves with warm clothes and fresh toiletries. On Monday, November 17th about 55 young professionals came together and raised $2,315, collected toiletries and clothing for Thanksgiving at the hip Tribeca salon, Lotus. Guests enjoyed a tasting of 5 different wines courtesy of Cabrini Wines, Noble House Wines and Tempranillo, Inc. and learned about the programs of The Bowery Mission.

Wine Tasting Party ~ Saturday, July 26, 2008
The Orion, 31st Floor
About 60 guests came together in support of The Bowery Mission & Kids With A Promise at the Young Philanthropists Wine Tasting Party on Saturday, July 26th at The Orion in New York City. Guests enjoyed a fabulous evening with sweeping views of the Hudson River from the 31st floor terrace, tasted six diverse Spanish wines and learned about the programs of The Bowery Mission & Kids With A Promise from Director of Outreach, James Macklin. More than $2,000 was raised through ticket purchases and generous contributions at the event.
