2026 Summer Social

Join us for a fun summer evening in support of our Compassionate Care programs that make a real difference!
Longer days and warmer nights can only mean one thing — The Bowery Mission’s Summer Social is almost here! Join our Associate Board for a fun, high-energy evening with fellow young professionals who share a heart for our work.
Funds raised at the event will support The Bowery Mission’s Compassionate Care programs. Come learn how something as simple as a hot meal or shower can encourage someone to go from survival mode to taking the first steps towards independence — in a caring community rooted in God's love.
Enjoy a live DJ, snap photos at the photobooth, and enter for a chance to win one-of-a-kind NYC experiences through our raffle. This popular event sells out every year so take advantage of our early bird pricing and claim your spot now!

What is The Bowery Mission’s Associate Board?

The Bowery Mission’s Associate Board is a group of emerging leaders who dedicate their time, talents and resources to raise awareness and support for The Bowery Mission. Each member serves as a thoughtful advocate for the Mission and our programs as we seek to promote the flourishing of men and women overcoming homelessness and marginalization and empower children to thrive and succeed.
Our members get involved because they care deeply about issues relating to homelessness and desire to join a community of like-minded young New Yorkers who want to take action. With support from Bowery Mission leadership, Associate Board members harness the power of their own networks and become connected to resources that make tangible impact possible. The Bowery Mission's Impact & Chef Raffaele’s Story
Since the 1870s, The Bowery Mission has been a place of welcome, care and healing for New York neighbors. This event supports our emergency meal and shelter services, as well as our residential programs that provide individualized, holistic care for men and women so they can experience God’s love and heal from past trauma, overcome barriers to independence and achieve personal goals for life and work.
Hear from Chef Raffaele, a graduate of our residential programs who now leads our Food Services team. He came to The Bowery Mission after experiencing deep personal tragedy, which sent him into a pattern of addiction and eventually to prison. Learn more about his path to healing through the Mission — and how we extend that care to everyone who walks through our doors.
"My time at The Bowery Mission changed my life. I found myself and the plan that God has for me."
– Raffaele DePalma, Executive Chef of The Bowery Mission and Residential Programs Graduate
We look forward to seeing you on July 22!
